Registration And Titling

Application & Scope

The Registration and Titling Program:

1. Maintains and provides current title and registration status information for manufactured homes, commercial modular(s), floating homes and truck campers to lending institutions, escrow companies, county assessors and tax collectors, other state agencies, and the general public.
2. Collects use taxes and fees associated with registration and ownership changes that are disbursed to the Mobilehome-Manufactured Home Revolving Fund, General Fund, Mobilehome Park Purchase Fund and the State Board of Equalization (use tax/sales tax collections).
3. Processes registration renewals on manufactured homes, mobilehomes and commercial modular(s), as well as changes in registration and ownership on those units, floating homes and slide-in campers.
