Program Laws And Regulations

1. Law:
   The State Law governing  the Department's Registration and Titling (R&T) Program is found in Division 13, Part 2, Chapter 8, of the California Health and Safety Code commencing with Section 18075.
   
   
2. Regulations:
   The Department of Housing and Community Development is responsible for promulgating the rules and regulations to interpret and make specific the laws for the R&T Program.  These regulations are contained in the California Code of Regulations, Title 25, Division 1, Chapter 5.
