2010 Annual Code Adoption Cycle
The State Housing Law Program develops statewide building standards for new construction of hotel, motels, lodging houses, apartments, dwellings and buildings accessory thereto.
Stakeholder input and participation is necessary to assist HCD in developing building standards, which will continue to assure the availability of affordable housing and uniform statewide code enforcement, and to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the public and occupants of housing and building accessory thereto.
Proposed Building Standards
- Parts 2 and 2.5: California Building Code and California Residential Code (2010 CBC; 2010 CRC) – Carbon Monoxide Alarms
- Parts 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 5: California Building Code, California Residential Code, California Electrical Code, California Mechanical Code and California Plumbing Code (2010 CBC; 2010 CRC; 2010 CEC; 2010 CMC; 2010 CPC) – Appeals Board
- Part 2: California Building Code (2010 CBC, Chapter 11A Only) – Housing Accessibility
