Infill Infrastructure Grant Program (IIG)

Purpose
Assist in the new construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure that supports higher-density affordable and mixed-income housing in locations designated as infill.

Assistance Terms
Minimum/Maximum grant amounts for Qualifying Infill Projects: $500,000/$20 million ($250,000 minimum for Rural Areas).
Minimum/Maximum grant amounts for Qualifying Infill Areas (and Large Multi-Phase Qualifying Infill Projects scored as Areas): $2 million/$30 million ($1 million minimum for Rural Areas).
Eligible Activities
New construction, rehabilitation, and acquisition of infrastructure required as a condition of or approved in connection with approval of Qualifying Infill Projects or Qualifying Infill Areas.
Elibigle Applicants
For Qualifying Infill Projects, eligible applicants include for profit, and non-profit housing developers, localities, public housing authorities, and redevelopment agencies.
For Qualifying Infill Areas, eligible applicants include localities, public housing authorities, redevelopment agencies, and BIDs as joint applicants with any of the other allowed Area applicants.

Applications are invited through the issuance of Notices of Funding Availability (NOFAs).
