Alturas Meadows Apartments is a 4.46 acre site located in Alturas, Modoc County. The project was proposed by Highland Property Development, LLC and Hearthstone Housing Foundation who was awarded $1,676,600 from HCD. It has 15 one story residential garden style buildings with a total of 48 units; Each unit offers ceiling fans, central air conditioning and microwave ovens. The site also includes a playground, a picnic area, laundry facilities and a community room. The units are restricted to large families with incomes ranging from 45 to 60 percent Area Median Income (AMI). The project has a close proximity to shopping, major transportation and schools.
