Governor Brown’s By-Right Affordable Housing Proposal

In the May revision to the 2016-17 Budget, Governor Jerry Brown has proposed a new approach to creating affordable housing in California.  The “by-right” proposal would streamline local development and improve the pace of housing production while holding down costs and preserving important environmental protections.
