Janeen Dodson was appointed Deputy Director of Organizational Development of HCD on July 1, 2017. Previously, she served as the Deputy Director of the Audit and Evaluation Division. Currently, Dodson provides direct leadership, vision, and oversight in the areas of strategic planning, continuous improvement, organizational change management, enterprise risk management, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, along with overall organizational development.
Prior to her appointment at HCD, Dodson served as the Business Process Improvement (BPI) Manager in the Office of the Director at the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and as Project Manager for EDD’s Workforce Planning Project. She provided reasonable accommodation support services assistance to State employees with disabilities during her tenure at the Department of Rehabilitation. Additionally, she has served as a program coordinator for the Youth Leadership Forum for students with disabilities as well as an associate producer of the Media Access Awards. In all, she has worked for the state for more than 26 years.
Dodson is a proud alum of California State University, Sacramento where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology.
