Program Overview
Assistance Type for Communities and Public Infrastructure
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program current grantees, per Management Memo 14-04, may request to have their grants reprogrammed for drought-related activities. CDBG funds within the eligible jurisdictions may be used for public infrastructure.
Assistance Type for Individuals
DHRA Program provides 12 months of temporary assistance for persons—tenants and homeowners--moving from their current residence, which lacks reasonable access to potable water resulting from the drought for which the Governor declared a state of emergency on January 17, 2014, via Executive order B-29, dated April 1, 2015.
