DR MHRE Program works with local governments and non-profit entities to assist with replacement and elevation of a damaged Mobilehome structure located in an eligible Mobilehome Park.

Overview

DR-MHRE Projects are funded to assist with housing needs of very low, low, and low-to moderate income (LMI) households and vulnerable populations, including individuals that were made homeless as a result of eligible disaster DR-4683 due to winter storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides during the incident period December 27, 2022 through January 31, 2023. Funding is limited to mobilehome owners residing in one of the Most Impacted and Distressed (MID) California counties as noted below. The maximum amount of assistance available for replacement and elevation of a damaged Mobilehome structure is $500,000 excluding any Duplication of Benefits.

Eligible Projects

To be eligible for the 2023 DR-MHRE funds, the proposed homeowner-applicant/s must have resided in a Mobilehome Park located in one of the counties listed below:

  • Merced
  • San Joaquin
  • San Luis Obispo

The Subrecipient for San Joaquin and Merced Counties is Self-Help Enterprises (SHE). San Luis Obispo County is administering the MHRE directly as the Subrecipient.
