One-Stop Shop for Affordable Homeownership Projects and Programs

HCD, in accordance with Assembly Bill 434 (Chapter 192, Statutes 2020), is working to make our homeownership program funds accessible to more developers and communities.

Two Programs. One Purpose.

Streamlines two of HCD's homeownership programs to align eligibility criteria, scoring, and release of funds allowing for a coordinated single application and award process. Learn more about the individual programs with funding available under this Super NOFA.

The LGMG program will provide grant-based funding to match certain local government funding for selected developers and local governments for predevelopment and development of affordable housing on excess state sites.

The HOME program assists cities, counties, developers, Native American Entities, and nonprofit Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) to create and retain affordable housing.

The program provides grants to cities, counties, and federally recognized tribes, and low-interest loans to developers, including Native American Entities and state-certified CHDOs operating in state HOME-eligible jurisdictions.
