Prohousing Incentive Program (PIP)

HCD is determined to alleviate California’s housing crisis by making additional community development resources available to local governments with the Prohousing Designation. PIP is designed to reward local governments with Prohousing Designation with additional funding to accelerate affordable housing production and preservation.

News:

  • On August 15, 2024, HCD released the NOFA for the third round of the Prohousing Incentive Program (PIP Round 3). PIP Round 3 makes approximately $8 million available for jurisdictions with a Prohousing Designation.
     
  • On August 1, 2024, HCD announced 19 jurisdictions to receive more than $15 million as part of the second round of PIP funding.
