Fraud and contractor issues

If you were the victim of contractor fraud, some payments you made to the contractor may not count against your assistance award. We will review your situation to determine eligibility.

To help us review your case, please provide any documents you have, such as:

  • A police report or complaint filed before you applied to the program
  • Copies of cancelled checks or other proof of payment
  • Bank statements showing payments made
  • A contract between you and the contractor

We will review reported contractor fraud based on the information provided. If some documents are not available, we may still review your case individually.
